Yay i'm off on a 2 week holiday tomorrow to windy wellington/sunny hamilton!! So don't expect any exciting entries for a while (okay, so they are few and far between anyway but that's not the point). Will post exciting pics upon my return.

Canyon Creek

Yay for camping. There's nothing like waking up in the morning in a tent; crisp autumn air, sun shining, birds singing, good food, good company, nowhere to be, nothing to do. Ah...camping bliss. Of course, waking up the next morning hungover as hell is not quite as pleasant but still you're outside and away from the real world and must have had a good night.
Had a great weekend up the Ahuriri, hung out with some old mates from Dunedin, made a new Christchurch friend who lives just around the corner and, most importantly, owns a washing machine!! Went for a 6 hour walk up Canyon Creek that was quite steep and didn't re-bugger my knee or break anything else. Saw falcons and riflemen and other bird-nerdy things. Yay for camping...
